According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Durable Goods industry (not seasonally adjusted) in September, 2006:

  1. Texas: 1,300
  2. Illinois: 900
  3. Louisiana: 900

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Durable Goods industry (not seasonally adjusted) in September, 2006:

  1. Indiana: -3,900
  2. Wisconsin: -2,900
  3. Minnesota: -2,600
