According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Durable Goods industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2008:

  1. Minnesota: 2,400
  2. Kentucky: 2,000
  3. Indiana: 1,900

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Durable Goods industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2008:

  1. Kansas: -2,100
  2. Michigan: -2,000
  3. Georgia: -1,100
