According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Durable Goods industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2009:

  1. Michigan: 1,900
  2. Kansas: 200
  3. Maine: 200

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Durable Goods industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2009:

  1. Illinois: -2,600
  2. California: -2,600
  3. Iowa: -2,000
