According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Durable Goods industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2010:

  1. Michigan: 2,900
  2. Illinois: 2,800
  3. California: 1,700

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Durable Goods industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2010:

  1. Arkansas: -1,000
  2. Florida: -900
  3. Maryland: -700
