According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Durable Goods industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2017:

  1. Michigan: 2,400
  2. Illinois: 2,000
  3. Iowa: 1,100

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Durable Goods industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2017:

  1. California: -2,500
  2. Ohio: -1,200
  3. New York: -900
