According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Durable Goods industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2018:

  1. Michigan: 5,600
  2. Missouri: 2,600
  3. Kentucky: 1,800

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Durable Goods industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2018:

  1. Iowa: -1,100
  2. California: -900
  3. Massachusetts: -500
