According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Durable Goods industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2019:

  1. Michigan: 7,500
  2. Indiana: 5,000
  3. Kansas: 700

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Durable Goods industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2019:

  1. Illinois: -2,200
  2. Ohio: -1,900
  3. Iowa: -1,100
