According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Federal Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in November, 2003:

  1. Arkansas: 200
  2. South Carolina: 200
  3. Florida: 100

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Federal Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in November, 2003:

  1. California: -1,600
  2. New York: -1,300
  3. District of Columbia: -900
