According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Federal Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2005:

  1. California: 2,600
  2. Georgia: 900
  3. Virginia: 900

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Federal Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2005:

  1. Maryland: -300
  2. Ohio: -100
  3. Wyoming: 0
