According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Federal Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2007:

  1. Georgia: 800
  2. Florida: 500
  3. Hawaii: 300

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Federal Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2007:

  1. California: -600
  2. Colorado: -500
  3. Montana: -400
