According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Federal Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2010:
- District of Columbia: 800
- Idaho: 100
- Montana: 100
On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Federal Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2010:
- California: -16,200
- New York: -14,700
- Florida: -7,400
