According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Federal Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in March, 2011:

  1. Missouri: 1,600
  2. California: 1,000
  3. Georgia: 500

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Federal Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in March, 2011:

  1. New York: -500
  2. Indiana: -200
  3. Illinois: -200
