According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Federal Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2012:

  1. Idaho: 700
  2. Montana: 700
  3. Colorado: 500

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Federal Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2012:

  1. Illinois: -1,100
  2. New York: -1,000
  3. Florida: -900
