According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Federal Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2014:

  1. District of Columbia: 1,200
  2. California: 800
  3. Idaho: 300

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Federal Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2014:

  1. Missouri: -900
  2. Arizona: -700
  3. New Mexico: -500
