According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Federal Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2017:

  1. Missouri: 500
  2. New Jersey: 300
  3. California: 200

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Federal Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2017:

  1. District of Columbia: -1,000
  2. Georgia: -300
  3. Minnesota: -200
