According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Federal Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2017:

  1. Alabama: 100
  2. Delaware: 100
  3. Idaho: 100

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Federal Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2017:

  1. New Mexico: -600
  2. Maryland: -600
  3. District of Columbia: -500
