According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Federal Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in January, 2018:

  1. Missouri: 800
  2. Minnesota: 100
  3. Nebraska: 100

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Federal Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in January, 2018:

  1. California: -3,600
  2. Florida: -2,000
  3. Illinois: -1,700
