According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Federal Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in January, 2020:

  1. Arkansas: 200
  2. Indiana: 200
  3. Iowa: 200

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Federal Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in January, 2020:

  1. New York: -1,900
  2. Florida: -1,800
  3. California: -1,500
