According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Finance and Insurance industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2002:

  1. Arizona: 1,100
  2. Michigan: 1,000
  3. California: 700

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Finance and Insurance industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2002:

  1. Florida: -2,800
  2. Massachusetts: -2,000
  3. New York: -1,900
