According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Finance and Insurance industry (not seasonally adjusted) in March, 2002:

  1. Missouri: 1,900
  2. California: 1,800
  3. North Carolina: 1,000

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Finance and Insurance industry (not seasonally adjusted) in March, 2002:

  1. New Jersey: -1,300
  2. Massachusetts: -800
