According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Finance and Insurance industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2002:

  1. California: 2,000
  2. Texas: 2,000
  3. Michigan: 900

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Finance and Insurance industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2002:

  1. Arizona: -700
  2. New Jersey: -600
  3. Nevada: -300
