According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Finance and Insurance industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2002:

  1. California: 4,600
  2. Georgia: 1,500
  3. Arizona: 1,200

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Finance and Insurance industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2002:

  1. New Jersey: -1,300
  2. Pennsylvania: -900
  3. Massachusetts: -500
