According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Finance and Insurance industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2004:

  1. Florida: 2,400
  2. Arizona: 1,500
  3. New Jersey: 1,400

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Finance and Insurance industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2004:

  1. New York: -2,100
  2. Pennsylvania: -1,500
  3. Ohio: -1,300
