According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Finance and Insurance industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2007:

  1. Nebraska: 500
  2. Illinois: 400
  3. Iowa: 300

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Finance and Insurance industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2007:

  1. California: -3,400
  2. New York: -800
  3. Minnesota: -600
