According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Finance and Insurance industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2011:

  1. Georgia: 1,800
  2. Arizona: 700
  3. Kansas: 400

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Finance and Insurance industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2011:

  1. California: -1,700
  2. New Jersey: -1,100
  3. Kentucky: -800
