According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Finance and Insurance industry (not seasonally adjusted) in March, 2011:

  1. Florida: 1,000
  2. New York: 800
  3. California: 700

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Finance and Insurance industry (not seasonally adjusted) in March, 2011:

  1. North Carolina: -400
  2. Illinois: -300
  3. Georgia: -300
