According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Financial Activities industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2004:

  1. California: 5,300
  2. New York: 4,900
  3. Texas: 3,300

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Financial Activities industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2004:

  1. Minnesota: -1,500
  2. District of Columbia: -600
  3. Oklahoma: -500
