According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Financial Activities industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2006:

  1. Texas: 2,900
  2. Georgia: 1,100
  3. Florida: 700

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Financial Activities industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2006:

  1. Pennsylvania: -1,500
  2. Ohio: -1,200
  3. New Jersey: -600
