According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Financial Activities industry (not seasonally adjusted) in June, 2006:

  1. New York: 9,800
  2. Texas: 5,200
  3. Illinois: 3,800

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Financial Activities industry (not seasonally adjusted) in June, 2006:

  1. California: -800
  2. Georgia: -100
  3. District of Columbia: 100
