According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Financial Activities industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2008:

  1. New York: 2,100
  2. Massachusetts: 1,200
  3. Minnesota: 600

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Financial Activities industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2008:

  1. Florida: -4,800
  2. California: -2,400
  3. Michigan: -1,600
