According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Financial Activities industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2011:

  1. New York: 1,500
  2. Alabama: 1,400
  3. North Carolina: 1,400

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Financial Activities industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2011:

  1. Colorado: -500
  2. Arkansas: -300
  3. Arizona: -300
