According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Goods Producing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in December, 2003:

  1. Florida: 7,800
  2. Georgia: 2,400
  3. Texas: 1,700

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Goods Producing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in December, 2003:

  1. New York: -13,100
  2. Pennsylvania: -11,100
  3. Minnesota: -9,900
