According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Goods Producing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in December, 2004:

  1. Florida: 8,800
  2. Arizona: 3,200
  3. Texas: 3,200

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Goods Producing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in December, 2004:

  1. New York: -10,900
  2. Minnesota: -7,900
  3. Michigan: -7,900
