According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Goods Producing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2005:

  1. Michigan: 17,800
  2. Minnesota: 16,500
  3. California: 16,100

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Goods Producing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2005:

  1. District of Columbia: 100
  2. Mississippi: 500
  3. Hawaii: 600
