According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Goods Producing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2006:

  1. Oregon: 7,200
  2. Alaska: 6,000
  3. Washington: 5,700

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Goods Producing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2006:

  1. Michigan: -47,800
  2. Florida: -13,400
  3. Ohio: -10,400
