According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Goods Producing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2008:

  1. California: 4,500
  2. Alaska: 2,200
  3. Louisiana: 1,400

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Goods Producing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2008:

  1. Illinois: -8,500
  2. New York: -6,500
  3. Ohio: -4,300
