According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Goods Producing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2010:

  1. Illinois: 3,600
  2. Oklahoma: 3,300
  3. Michigan: 3,000

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Goods Producing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2010:

  1. Alaska: -6,400
  2. California: -5,700
  3. Florida: -4,700
