According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Goods Producing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in September, 2010:

  1. Michigan: 10,000
  2. Kentucky: 1,000
  3. North Dakota: 400

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Goods Producing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in September, 2010:

  1. California: -11,100
  2. Alaska: -6,300
  3. New York: -4,700
