According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Goods Producing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2012:

  1. California: 27,100
  2. Michigan: 15,000
  3. New York: 12,700

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Goods Producing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2012:

  1. Mississippi: 0
  2. District of Columbia: 200
  3. Hawaii: 200
