According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Goods Producing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in September, 2012:
- Florida: 1,500
- Louisiana: 800
- North Carolina: 600
On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Goods Producing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in September, 2012:
- Alaska: -7,000
- Minnesota: -4,900
- New York: -4,800
