According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Goods Producing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2014:

  1. New York: 22,100
  2. Ohio: 16,300
  3. Illinois: 15,400

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Goods Producing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2014:

  1. Louisiana: -1,000
  2. Hawaii: -200
  3. District of Columbia: 100
