According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Goods Producing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in January, 2015:

  1. Alaska: 2,700
  2. District of Columbia: -700
  3. Nevada: -1,200

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Goods Producing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in January, 2015:

  1. New York: -35,200
  2. Illinois: -28,900
  3. Ohio: -25,900
