According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2003:

  1. Texas: 27,600
  2. New York: 23,600
  3. Pennsylvania: 22,600

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2003:

  1. Rhode Island: 0
  2. District of Columbia: 100
  3. Wyoming: 400
