According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2005:

  1. District of Columbia: 7,400
  2. Florida: 1,500
  3. Delaware: -600

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2005:

  1. California: -121,800
  2. Texas: -77,800
  3. Michigan: -65,900
