According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in November, 2005:

  1. California: 19,300
  2. New York: 12,100
  3. Texas: 9,400

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in November, 2005:

  1. Indiana: -2,100
  2. Minnesota: -400
  3. Wyoming: -300
