According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in November, 2007:

  1. California: 22,300
  2. New York: 10,000
  3. North Carolina: 7,700

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in November, 2007:

  1. District of Columbia: -700
  2. Montana: -500
  3. Idaho: -500
