According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in December, 2010:

  1. Alabama: 600
  2. Kansas: 600
  3. Oklahoma: 600

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in December, 2010:

  1. California: -22,500
  2. Florida: -8,500
  3. Michigan: -8,100
