According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in June, 2012:
- New Jersey: 4,000
- District of Columbia: 2,100
- Alaska: -500
On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in June, 2012:
- Florida: -85,000
- North Carolina: -60,200
- Arizona: -39,200
