According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in December, 2013:

  1. Nevada: 1,100
  2. Hawaii: 800
  3. New Hampshire: 800

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in December, 2013:

  1. California: -17,600
  2. Ohio: -9,100
  3. Michigan: -7,600
