According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2013:
- District of Columbia: 10,200
- Delaware: -1,900
- Montana: -5,400
On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2013:
- California: -174,500
- North Carolina: -73,700
- Missouri: -44,700
